Confirmed Service Customer
Upon service persons' agreement, I took the car in last monday. I was told that servicing would take two days. Given I have only the car that was serviced, I needed to rent a car, which initially was supposed to return on wednesday. The car was serviced on thursday and due to not having the replacement part in stock, it was finally ready on Friday. It was an expensive replacement and adding the car rental, I spent over USD 1500, a significant blow to my budget. Whereas I am aware that there is a shortage of service persons in the automotive industry (at least in South Florida), timely communication from the dealer to the customer, would be highly beneficial for both sides. Getting through by phone to your service staff and obtaining a timely response is quite a feat. I had to drive to the service center to finally reach the service person, who then provided his private phone.
